ABOUT US

In 2014, we had the opportunity to cater a luncheon for our church. Wanting to provide a delicious and cost-effective option, we suggested pulled pork due to its low cost at the time. The event was a success, and we received overwhelmingly positive feedback from those in attendance.

Inspired by this experience, we decided to invest in our first smoker and begin offering our services to a wider audience. Starting with small events like open houses and family gatherings, we quickly gained a reputation for providing high-quality barbecue.

Since then, our catering business has grown substantially, and we are grateful for the many opportunities we have had to serve at weddings, corporate events, and other special occasions. We are humbled by the support and trust our clients have placed in us, and we are dedicated to continuing to provide exceptional service and delicious food.

Our Establishment

We are thrilled to announce the upcoming opening of our new sit-down dining experience and full-scale bar at Scratch BBQ!!!  We are currently in the process of renovating the existing restaurant with a projected opening date of summer 2023.  

The restaurant will include an open-concept style kitchen and prep room, multiple outdoor smokers to smoke our meats, and media projectors and screens to watch all sporting events in our dining area and bar.  We will provide a fast-casual style restaurant, where all our homemade food is ready to be served.  All meats will be sliced and weighed in front of you, and our delicious side dishes will also be ready for you to choose from at our service counter.  

We are committed to providing exceptional service and amazing food that our customers have come to expect from us; as well as a unique and memorable dine-in experience.

Our Family

We have Four beautiful children, Kenzey (14 years), Reese (12 years) and Mack (9 years), and our newest addition, Bo, (1 year).  My wife, Amy is a full-time teacher in Flushing and I just took a one-year leave of absence from teaching to pursue our dream of opening a restaurant.
